Frequently Asked Questions

The app says it cannot find a subject

Photos with a clear subject are easier to cut out. Choose a photo with strong contrast between the subject and background, and with the subject near the center of the frame. Photos without a distinct subject, such as landscapes, cannot be cut out.

How do I add a widget?

Touch and hold the Home Screen → Edit → Add Widget → search for "Nesecu" to add any of the 5 sticker widgets: Clock, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, and Journey. You can customize the 4 widgets other than Journey in the app under Everywhere → Widgets.

My widget is locked

Clock unlocks for free after you collect 2 stickers; Calendar and Reminders after 4; and Notes after 7. If you prefer not to wait, choose "Unlock Now" or "Support Us" (Nesecu Supporter Pack) on the Widgets screen.

The stickers cover the widget text

Open customization on the Widgets screen and change Content. Choose "Plain" to keep the original appearance, "Outline" to add a paper-colored border, or "Masking Tape" to put a label-like backing behind the text. Clock also has "Decorate for Me" to arrange stickers all at once.

Can I make the widget background transparent?

On iOS 26 or later, you can choose Clear Background under Background in widget customization. This removes the paper color and frame drawn by Nesecu and lets iOS provide the widget background. Touch and hold the Home Screen, then choose Edit → Customize → Clear to leave only stickers and time, calendar events, tasks, or notes information over the system's Liquid Glass. iOS controls the transparency of Liquid Glass, so this is not a completely background-free view that shows your wallpaper unchanged.

Tapping a widget does not open the default app

Tapping a widget briefly passes through Nesecu to open Calendar, Reminders, Clock, or Notes. If the relevant app is not on your device or cannot be opened from the current iOS version, you return to Everywhere → Widgets in Nesecu.

My widget does not show events or tasks

In the app, open Everywhere → Widgets → Connections to connect Calendar and Reminders. If you previously denied access, use "Allow in Settings" to turn on permission in iOS Settings.

An old weather widget remains after updating

Support for weather widgets ended with the August 29, 2026 update. If tapping an old widget opens Nesecu, it takes you to Everywhere → Widgets. If tapping does nothing or the old display remains, remove that widget from the Home Screen and add the widget you want from the 5 supported types.

How do I set a wallpaper I made?

When you save a wallpaper, it goes into a Photos album named "[Name]'s Wallpapers", using the name you chose in the app. For example, if the name is "Mongi", the album is "Mongi's Wallpapers". Set it in iOS Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper, or select this album in Photo Shuffle to display a different artwork each day. With "Add Photos Only" permission, images are saved to Photos without album organization.

I want to use stickers and text faces in other apps

Open Everywhere → Keyboard in the app to see your stickers and text faces. Setup instructions are in the exclamation-mark help button next to the title. Go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard and add Nesecu. In a chat app, touch and hold the globe key to switch to the Nesecu keyboard, then switch between the Stickers tab, labeled with the name you chose in the app, and the Text Faces tab. Text Faces contains Unicode kaomoji and characters you can combine, with no actual words mixed in. It also organizes recently and frequently used expressions on your device. The Stickers tab shows recent items, the default pack, and the actual packs you created in the app. To paste a sticker, turn on Allow Full Access for the Nesecu keyboard, tap a transparent cutout, then touch and hold the input field and paste.

Why does the keyboard ask for Full Access?

You can type Unicode text faces and browse stickers created in the app without Full Access. Full Access is required only to copy a selected transparent cutout image to the clipboard and record recently used sticker IDs. The keyboard does not retrieve copied text or clipboard history and does not automatically monitor the clipboard. It has no code for internet requests and does not store or transmit your input. Copied images stay on this device only and expire after 5 minutes.

I want to restore a purchase

Tap Restore Purchases in the Settings tab at the bottom of the app. You must be signed in with the Apple Account you used for the purchase.
